Ball moves in U tunnel

  Dear Sir/Madam,
  I use explicit dynamics to simulate the U tunnel. The contact is frictionless, the bottom is fixed, the initial velocity is 3m/s, the end time is 1s, total length is 3m. But the ball could not pass through the curve, can you help to find the problem? Thank you!

  nnCan you try improving the mesh near the bent and then check the result? By the way, you may use a transient analysis as well. We suggest an Explicit analysis for simulating scenarios occurring in a fraction of second.nnRegards,nAshish Khemka

  Hello Ashish,nThanks for your suggestion, I finished that simulation. I wonder if ansys has the function that when the ball pass through infrared sensor, infrared sensor can detect the ball? If Yes, how can I simulate it? Thank you.nBestnBonn
