SubscriberHello,
We just installed ANSYS 2019R1 on a Linux machine. Unfortunately, we do not see the Battery module that is available on 2019R1 installed on a Windows machine. Is the Battery module not available on the Linux installation of ANSYS 2019R1? If it available in any other version? Thanks.
regards,
Ankur

SubscriberHello, can anyone help us understand whether the Multi scale multi dimensional (MSMD) battery model is available on ANSYS 2019R1 on Linux? We find this model in Windows installations, but not in Linux.

SubscriberSandeep,
Thanks for your response. I understand that SpaceClaim is not available on Linux. However, my question is whether the Multi scale multi dimensional (MSMD) battery model is available in Linux. We can certainly model our geometry in DesignModeler (or even outside ANSYS), but our simulation requires battery modeling, for which we have used MSMD in a Windows machine. Unfortunately, when we installed ANSYS 2019R1 on a Linux workstation, we do not see the MSMD battery model any more. Can you please tell us if we aren't doing something right, or if the battery model is simply not available in Linux?
Thanks again for your help.
regards,
Ankur

Ansys EmployeeHi, A couple of our engineers were able to check and verify this on a Linux Machine and the module can be loaded only after a mesh or case file has been read in Fluent. They just did a quick test and were able to load the MSMD module successfully.
So would you please check if a mesh or case file has been read into Fluent before loading the module? If yes, can you set up the battery model in Windows and open the same case file in Linux? If there is any system problem, you probably could not open it successfully
