Battery simulation results

  Hello,
  I followed the ANSYS tutorial on simulating the thermal behavior of a single Pouch cell. I got the similar results as it is shown in the tutorial. However, based on our experience, the hottest region of pouch cell should be somewhere close to the tab zone. However, the tab is the coolest zone here. Could someone provide an answer? Thanks!

  Not necessarily. Only if the tab is very very thin and the joule heating is large.
  In the battery zone, we have electrochemical heat + joule heat, in the tab zones we only have joule heat.
