I would like to bend a straight half tube as a circular arc. Deflection should be 16mm. Is there a simple, quick fix here?

Ansys EmployeeHi Andreas,
you can use a three-point arc and mark a distance of 16mm from the center of the tube that you have created and use the sweep option in the pull command to generate the deflected tube.
step1. Mark a line 16 mm from the center of the tube.
step2. Create a three-point arc
step3. Create the same diameter of the tube and pull using the Sweep option along the arc.
Keep in mind the length of the tube will change. Do you want the length should remain the same after bending? Please specify your question a little bit in detail. what type of deflection are you expecting? Will it be a circular arc?

Ansys EmployeeHi Andreas,
The length of the pipe will increase if you attempt to pull it while both ends are fixed. So, if the pipe’s length increases while maintaining the 16mm circular arc radius, are you okay?Regards,
Sampat
