SubscriberI have a tank initially filled with a gas at low pressure. I need to insert another gas through an inlet until the tank reaches a certain pressure but continue mixing. My ultimate goal is to find the mixing time until homogenized. Should I be using a non-reactive species transport model? And secondly, how do I continue running the simulation once I reach the final pressure to allow mixing to finish. Thanks

Ansys EmployeeYes non reactive species transport model.
You define a certain point in the tank to track there the species mass fraction or concentration of the species you are adding over the time that will give the amount of time till homgenisation.

SubscriberHow do you do that? I am an undergraduate working on a research project so my ansys knowledge is limited. I am trying to learn. Thank you for your help
