SubscriberHello Everyone
I'm working on cooling of a hot plate using water jet numerically. I'm interested in plotting the boiling curve X-axis = delta T ( Tsurface-Tsaturated) / Y-axis =Heat flux. I tried doing it but I didn't get any results. I just want to make sure if I'm using the right formulas and parameters or not.
What i know:
T surface is the temperature of the top surface of the plate .
T saturated is 100 C
what about the Heat flux I know fluent calculates it but since the problem is 2d I get undefined value.
I hope I can get a response.
Thank you in advance.

Ansys EmployeeHello
What do you mean by undefined value?
For 2d, fluent takes the unit depth by default for calculations. However, you can check/modify the depth value from the 'Reference Values' tab. Even if the problem is 2d, you should get a value for the heat flux.

SubscriberIs this related to the post processing. Because I'm interested in getting the flux values with respect to time?

Ansys EmployeeYes, that's correct. You can ignore it while solving as it has no effect on the solution.
