Subscriberhow to apply bolt pretension when the bolt is having thread part all over means there is no shank part without thread, as preload can be given to the part where there is frictional contact and for threaded part we do give bonded contact. When the bolt is like there is whole shank surface having thread part then how to decide which part to considered for preload?

SubscriberThank you very much for sharing valueable information sir.
As i want to apply pretension which i think is not possible when we consider a bonded contact, so from the shared discussion i can use frictional contact with geomtery correction thread option and can apply a pretension, am i correct?
