Ansys EmployeeHi,
This is SpaceClaim.
In this, you can use Combine tool under Design tab.

SubscriberThank you! It opens automatically in SpaceClaim when I click on "Geometry" -> "Edit" in Workbench. Can I change it? I should mention that I am a beginner. Thank you so much!

Ansys EmployeeDM need not be installed separately. It should get installed with default installation. Can you please try reinstalling it.
Also you can continue operations in SpaceClaim instead of DM. SpaceClaim is also very user friendly. You will need to use only Combine tool for boolean operations. I would recommend you to go ahead with SpaceClaim. You would love it.

Ansys EmployeeHi Monica,
Are you using the Free ANSYS Student version or some paid academic/commercial license ?
I'm guessing that the latter would be the case here. It's likely that you have a licensing issue.
In this case, check if you have licenses for ANSYS Design Modeler.
You can try this command in CMD Prompt (change your installation path accordingly)
“C:Program FilesANSYS IncShared FilesLicensingwinx64ansysli_util” -checkout ANS_DM
Note: Copy the entire thing including quote ""
Please capture the screenshot of the output and put it in your post here.
Thank you,
Win
