I am studying the flow around a helmet and I am trying to perform a boolean subtract operation in ANSYS. However, I am encountering the error message "". I have seen in other posts that the helmet cannot be hollow, which is the case for my geometry obtained from GrabCAD. I have tried filling the inside of the helmet using CAD software, but due to the complexity of the geometry, I was not successful.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to proceed with this?

What do you want to do with the helmet geometry?

I created an enclosure and now I want to define the fluid zone.

OK. You can either clean up the outer casing of the helmet & then mesh. The non-manifold issue is down to surfaces not quite touching, or rather touching with a zero area contact.
Or, have a look at the Fault Tolerant Meshing option in Fluent Meshing.
