SubscriberI am applying axial velocity (5m/sec) and rotation to fluid (10rad/sec) in turbulent pipe flow. The turbulence model used in k-omega (assume), but inlet and outlet condition is not satifying physics at end of pipe. What could be best inlet and outlet condition for this case? You can see skin friction co-efficient is also increasing but it should not be in actual physics.
Anyone feedback or expert suggestion would be extremely helpful for me.

SubscriberActual Axial velocity- 10m/sec, Re= 68000, Rotation- 400rad/sec on fluid.nnFebruary 14, 2021 at 1:36 pmYasserSelima
SubscriberI believe you are using outflow boundary. I recommend changing this to outlet pressure. nIn outflow, FLUENT forces the flow to have constant velocity at the outlet. Outlet pressure is more realistic if your pipe is open, but you might have backflow. nFebruary 24, 2021 at 8:20 amsanjayiway
SubscriberHello Selima,nI am using outlet pressure with gauge pressure =0. Standard initial condition from inlet is used.nI tried with hybrid initialization but unrealistic result for rotating case.nNot fully develop flow condition is used here, just with initial flow.nViewing 3 reply threads- You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
