Boundary Conditions for a shaft for Fatigue Failure analysis

Hello. I am trying to analysis fatigue Failure of a stepped shaft supported at two ends by bearings and a torque of 35Nm to be applied for its rotation of 2.81 rad/s. All this in static structural.
However, I am unable to simulate the bearing support.
I have tried applying rotational velocity & moment as the boundary conditions, but on solving ansys shows an error that the model in not sufficiently constrained for rigid body motion.
      Could someone please help me?

      Hi PayalTalda,

You may need to add cylindrical support to constrain the axial movement.

Please let me know if it helps.

      Regards,

      Wenlong

      Hi,

      Thank you for the reply.

I have tried using the cylindrical support, constraining the radial & axial movement.

However, it shows the same error.

      Best Regards,

      Payal

      Hi Payal,

Sorry that I know you have described your boundary condition clearly, but can you post some images of your boundary conditions?

      Thanks,

      Regards,

      Wenlong

Hi Wenlong Thank you for ur input. My problem is solved using fixed support by trial & error.

      Regards Payal
