Subscriberhello guys,
i am doing a simulation on a 2D turbine rotation using dynamic mesh. I am using 6DOF solver in my simulation. One of my objective is to show the variation of the angular velocity as the turbine starts to rotate with respect to time.
Is there a way that we could create a graph of angular velocity vs flow time or better , get the raw values with respect to time in a file??
Please reply as soon as possible.
Thank you.

Ansys EmployeeHello Avinash
When you define the 6DOF case with the panel, you can enable the option "Write Motion History" under Options panel for 6DOF, this step will write the information you need to a file. You can read more information in Section 10.6.5. Six DOF Solver Settings from ANSYS Fluent User's Guide, R18.2-R19.1.
I hope this helps.

Ansys EmployeeThe information saved in the history file is time vs angle, but I think you can use that info to get the information you need.

SubscriberDear Sir,
I have enabled the option "Write Motion History" under Options panel for 6DOF. I can access the file that it generates but I can't see any information related to "time vs angle". I can't see any values of time vs angle.
Is there any other setting that we are supposed to enable in order to capture the angle vs time values?
The other thing is I haven't enabled the implicit update settings. Does enabling the "implicit update settings" capture the angle vs time values?
