SubscriberHello, is it possible, to obtain data (e.g. mean value of field variables, surface integrals, etc.) from an arbitrary surface within the computation domain? For example, we can put charts and probes on surfaces of a solid body (blue in the attached image), or even on a plane (highlighted), but applied on a simple 2D surface (purple, offset from the blue solid), they show 0 values constantly in time. Can you explain why this can't be done? Is it possible to get numeric results from a certain area like this? Thanks, Bálint -

It seems my initial assessment was correct. Surfaces are not supported.
Your options are to create a solid, or alternatively, you can use a full plane.

Could you please ask the developers, whether this function will be available in further releases of Discovery Live, or is it even possible due to SpaceClaim's features? It would be a quite useful option...
