If you have a single fluid volume in your study, both the approaches are expected to yield same result and the outcome would be the average velocity in the fluid volume.
However, for cases where there are multiple fluid volumes which are not interacting such as 2 parallel ducts, the average velocity in each duct can only be calculated using "Body" as location. Using "Volume" for such cases will calculate the average velocity considering both domains cumulatively.
My recommendation is to stick with "Volume" if there is a single fluid volume, as the "Body" selection is a beta feature.
