SubscriberHello. I want to calculate the photonic bands in the terahertz region using the file A, but if I increase the size of the structure, the program will not work. is it possible to calculate the photonic bands in the terahertz region using Ansys lumerical?
In addition to that, this error occurs when the structure of the above file is calculated about 1000 times larger and with a frequency of 1/1000. How can I fix it?
Thank you

Ansys Employeea frequency of 1/1000? what is your frequency range? or better wavelength range?
FDTD is versatile in solving Maxwell's Equatios from extremely low freqency to Xrays.
The error message says lie 56 has error for a matrix dimension. Please check that matrix and know its dimemesion and see which index has the error. You can use question mark ? to know the values. for example
?n; will show the value of n
?size(matrixA); will show the dimension of matrixA.

SubscriberHello. Thanks for the reply.
I want to calculate the band structure around 700 GHz. I think the calculation will be roughly in the range of 0.3~1 THz.
I tried to do it with Script Prompt as you said, but it spits out the following error.
"is not valid function or valiable name"Do I need to write something else if I want to access the variables in the Analysis Group?

Ansys EmployeeYou do not need to write additioal script. But please check what is wrong for the specific line of the scrpt. Maybe the time monitors are outside of the simulation region, or some other parameters are wrong. Please use the question mark to check.

SubscriberHello. It appears that the problem was the time set for the time monitor. I re-set the simulation time and it worked fine.
Thank you very much for your kindness. -
