SubscriberI imported an STL file model (COIL) in HFSS to run and obtained an inductance(L) value of about 1.18uH and resistance(R) value of about 8.31mOhms. From calculation, I had a Q-factor value of 76.9.
I want to improve upon this STL file model (COIL) for an improved Q-factor. How can I edit this model and what should I look out for to obtain an improved inductance and resistance value and in effect improving my coil's Q-factor. Thank you.

In maxwell or HFSS you can use modeling operations available under the Draw tab to modify the geometry. Basically, you need to increase the number of turns to increase the inductance.
Or in Maxwell.
you can use the inbuilt UDP operation to draw a coil easily and customize/parameterize it as required.
See the below screenshot. After you select the rectangular helix you will see a popup window with variables. You can enter the values as needed and click OK.
