SubscriberI am running a transient simulation with 1000 time step, 0.01 time step size. After almost 60% progress which is about 600time steps, the abnormal exit error occurs. I have save my case file under .cdat file. Can i just re-open fluent and continue running the calculation? and click 'stop at the end of time step' manually when it has reaches 1000 time step? Will this affect the post processing?

Ansys EmployeeYou can't restart Fluent with a cdat, you need .dat as the former is a lightweight format for CFD Post. If you do have the latter, yes you can restart and continue the run. You may need to add the later timesteps to CFD Post using the "clock" icon but otherwise it should be fine.

Subscriberi have a .cas file and a .dat.h5 file..is this what u meant? i tried reopening Fluent and just click calculate without initializing it..and run until 1000 time step before stopping..it seems fine..but however i need to click 'accept interrupted as up-to-date solution' to complete my solution on workbench, else it will have pause symbol on it..
In CFD post, i just open the latest result and it calls back all the time steps.

Ansys EmployeeWith Workbench you need to be a bit more careful to make sure you don't accidentally overwrite anything. There's a reason it's used very rarely! As you've restarted you may need to manually load the last few steps, it depends on how well the update worked.
