SubscriberHi, somehow I cannot find designmodeler when I right-click geometry, I can only find spaceclaim, I don't know if I miss an option to install that when I was installing Ansys. Is there anyway I can enable designmodeler? Thanks.

Ansys EmployeeAnd the licence type? Teaching, Research?
Edit: Having checked you may not have a licence as the academic bundles were altered. Please check with the licence holder, and get in touch with your Ansys contact as needed.

SubscriberI believe it's research, but I am not 100% sure, how can I check it?

Rob
Ansys EmployeeIf it's Research it'll let you open meshes in excess of 512k cells. You'll then need to get in touch with us to discuss extras for your licence.

SubscriberBut, no matter it's student or research, I should be able to use Design Modeler for geometry, right?

Ansys EmployeeIn theory yes. Can you check your licence for "agppi" and also screen grab so I can see what you've got. Add a new Geometry task, and right click to see what editors are available.

Ansys EmployeeMystery solved. You need a patch to get DM working. You'll need to download that from the Customer Portal.

SubscriberIt only includes the Discovery, which we do not have license for.
Does it require a license to access DesignModeler?
