Cant open ‘ .CGNS’ mesh format

      Hello all,

I am trying to open large size '.CGNS' mesh format using Fluent 19.1 on thinlinc client. I tried at the beginning to open it on Windows but it didn't work because the file size is too big. Now every time I try to open the file Fluent closes suddenly!!

when I try to open fluent again, I get this message

      Exception of type

      'Ansys.Fluent.CortexNotAvailableE:was thrown.

Does anyone familiar with this error.

      Appreciate your help.

The screenshot looks like it's from Linux ?

Also, do you see this error when you try to open this CGNS file or you also see this even if you open a blank Fluent session ?

Is there more information if you click 'Show Details' ?

      Thanks for your reply.

-Yes this screenshot is from Linux system, I tried to open the file on Windows but it didn't work.

-For the Linux system. This error occurs every time I try to open a blank Fluent session after I tried to open the CGNS file.

On Linux, make sure you are not running any ANSYS, then open a terminal and issue the following command

      mv ~/.ansys ~/.ansys.old

      Now try it again.

Also, what license do you have ? importing CGNS file requires some license.

      Thanks,

      Win

I tried your suggestion but unfortunatley it didn't work.

I am using an academic license. However, I solved this problem by asking mesh supplier to provide the mesh in different format (Techplot)

      Thanks,

      Omar
