SubscriberHi,
Do we need a special licence to open 3DXML file "with authoring" ? When I deactivate my increment : « ANSYS Discovery Ultimate Enterprise Geometry Interface Bundle for CATIA (discovery_geom_catia) », I've got the attached message.
But when I activate this increment and I import 3DXML file, I've got the standard behavior : "Warning file does not contain authoring data".
Unfortunately, I do not have 3DXML file "with authoring" to make some tests.
Final question is, what is the difference between "ANSYS Discovery Ultimate Enterprise Geometry Interface Bundle for CATIA" and "ANSYS Geometry Interface for CATIA V6" ?
Thanks,
Thomas

You do not need any special license to open a 3DXML file "with authoring".
When I deactivate my increment
I tried activating and deactivating ANSYS Discovery Ultimate Enterprise Geometry Interface Bundle for CATIA (discovery_geom_catia) while importing a 3DXML file, in 2020 R1. In both cases, I got an error saying "No compatible interface found for this file". This seems to be a problem, for which I will get in touch with the developers, and will get back to you.
Although, I tried doing the same (activating and deactivating the bundle) for 2020 R2 (the unreleased upcoming version), and in both the cases, it shows the error "Warning file does not contain authoring data".
I've got the standard behavior : "Warning file does not contain authoring data".
I did not come across this behavior while using Discovery 2020R1, which version of Discovery are you using?
what is the difference between "ANSYS Discovery Ultimate Enterprise Geometry Interface Bundle for CATIA" and "ANSYS Geometry Interface for CATIA V6" ?
"ANSYS Discovery Ultimate Enterprise Geometry Interface Bundle for CATIA" bundle is associated with the Discovery product, whereas "ANSYS Geometry Interface for CATIA V6" bundle seems like it is associated with ANSYS workbench, and for better clarification, you will have to get in touch with the workbench team.

SubscriberHi Charudatta Bandgar
Thanks for your detailed answer.
I've tried on several versions, included 2020R1, on SpaceClaim and Discovery SpaceClaim and it is always the same.
I did not come across this behavior while using Discovery 2020R1
Is that means you have a 3DXML "with authoring" file format ? Could you send me this file for test purposes ?
Regards,
Thomas

No, I do not have 3DXML file "with authoring", although I will look for one if I could find.
The 'Warning file does not contain authoring data' error did not appear when I was working in 2020 R1, which was a bug. And in subsequent versions, this was addressed by displaying the 'Warning file does not contain authoring data' error. What was surprising to me is the fact that, even when you were using 2020R1, you came across this error.
Regards.
