SubscriberHi,
Is there any way we can do CFX simulations in Hydrophobic channels in ANSYS? Like it can be done via applying wall boundary conditions or material properties? Any help or input would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advances.

Ansys EmployeeYes, CFX can handle hydrophobic situation through boundary conditions.
CFX experts can pitch in here.

SubscriberHi Kkanade, Thank you for responding.
Actually in my model, the hydrophobicity is driven by the microstructures in the micro channels. I am wondering, if it can work out? What additional conditions I have to impose other than turning on SURFACE TENSION?
Thanks

Ansys EmployeeYou'd need to either define a contact angle (not sure where in CFX - I use Fluent) or model the micro structure (probably not sensible with a student licence). More information on the problem will help, but remember as staff we can only look at images not project files.
