Check Geometry Error in Spaceclaim

      Hi,

I have this deformed geometry which I imported in SpaceClaim as stl file. I converted it into a solid. However, when I right-click on the 'Solid' in the structure toolbar on left side and 'Check Geometry'. I get these errors. How do I go about solving this? I need to save this as sat so I can open it in HFSS.

      Thanks,

      Hi

Not sure why that is (the error are clear at least).

Can you try and export as .sat and import into HFSS as I explained (via another post).

      Thank you

      Erik

      Hi Erik,

I tried that and I was able to export the deformed spiral in HFSS. However, I want to do a Boolean operation (subtract a box from this deformed spiral). However, it gave me this error.

Can I send you my file and have a look at the error?

      Thank you Erik,

      Hi

We (Ansys empl.)  are not allowed to download any files- perhaps some other forum members can help out here.

There seems to be some error. Perhaps try to do the box in spaceclaim and import that (as sat) into hfss.

      All the best

      Erik

      Hi Erik,

The deformed spiral is to be embbedded into the box(substrate). Can we do that in Spaceclaim? also do the boolean operation in spaceclaim?

      Thanks,
