SubscriberHi there,
I submitted a ticket through the customer portal (SR 1889936881). However, I believe the preferred method is through discussion groups.
We have a number of products as part of the Ansys suite. We have installed version 19 of the license server, but the clients are still detecting version 18. The message we get is (eg. from Ansys FLUENT):
Welcome to ANSYS Fluent Release 19.0

Unauthorized use, distribution or duplication is prohibited.
This product is subject to U.S. laws governing export and re-export.

ANSYS LICENSE MANAGER ERROR:Your version of the ANSYS license manager software is out of date. Please download and install the current ANSYS license manager from the ANSYS Customer Portal.
The version of the license server 2325@[our license server] [1.8.3] must be greater or equal to the client FLUENT_SOLVER version [1.9.0].
Hit return to exit.
Unexpected license problem; exiting.
From the command line I ran:
C:Program FilesANSYS Inc>"Shared FilesLicensingwinx64ansysli_util" -statli 2325@licenseserver
Attempting to connect to ansysli_server running on 2325@licenseserver...

Not connected to a license server for licensing actions.
** ERROR: Unable to retrieve server statistics for 2325@licenseserver. **
** ERROR: Unable to retrieve feature availability for 2325@licenseserver. **
We have downloaded and install the license manager software but it is still not working.
We are at a loss as to what is happening here. We would like to setup a remote session with one of your technical experts to help us resolve this issue.
Can we please schedule a session?
Thanks,
David -

Ansys EmployeeHello David,
This would indicate that the license server needs to be updated, possibly during the update it did not complete fully. I will reach out separately on this.
Thanks,
Matt -
