SubscriberHi ......I am assisting Photonics Researchers migrate and run their ANSYS / Lumerical software; at present it is hosted on the Head Researchers server (under his desk) - but we are looking to run it in a Cloud environment
Trying to find out how this may affect the licensing arrangement we have in place ?
We have a current licence for Lumerical and this is resident 'on-prem'; we need to know what we need to do to ensure our cloud hosted Lumerical software is correctly licensed; so the sort of of questions we'd need to ask are , for example:
1/. can we simply copy on-prem licence to our Cloud environment ?
2/. is there a different type if licence for On-OPrem and Cloud hosted software ? If Yes, can we swap
Hope this is sufficient to start the conversation and hope to hear from you soon
Many thanks
