Coefficients curve with .cas and .dat files

    • Jlf2606

      Hi guys,

is there any possibility to solve the Coefficients (e.g. lift coefficient and moment coefficient) just with the .cas and .dat files?

So if the coefficient file is lost that you don't have to recalculate the whole simulation again?

      Thanks in advance.

If you are looking for a transient data of how Cd or Cl vary with time, you will not be able to do this unless you rerun the simulation or if you have other transient data files. If you have these transient data files are different time-steps, you might be able to calculate the instantaneous Cd or Cl values (at that time-step) and reconstruct your plot manually.

If you only have the case and data file for a single timestep, you will be able to obtain only data at that single time-step.

If you are interested in a steady solution and you have these files, you should be able to use this data and obtain your Cd Cl.

I hope this answers your question. If it does, please mark it as 'Is Solution' so it benefits the community.
