Does anyone know how can I simulate a cold joint in a reiforced concrete model? What contact should I use?

I am assuming by "cold joint" you mean the interface between two bodies of concrete that have different material properties caused by poring and curing at different times?

If so, I would recommend a conventional bonded contact pair that is associate with a Cohesive Zone Material (CZM) model, so that the bond at this interface has a limit in tension and shear.

Thank you for your answer. Is it automatically applied to the interface when a CZM model is applied to the material? Does both concrete material in contact should have a CZM model?
