SubscriberHi all.
I am new to fluent, I have been watching a lot of videos but I seem to be struggling a lot still. I am trying to model the combustion of a single coal particle, in this case, the coal is imported as an.STL file, I have imported, turned the STL file into a solid body and meshed. Now I have to put a cylinder around it and do combustion of the particle, I am stuck. Is this realistic or I am too ambitious? what is the easier way to approach this?
A little help will be appreciated

Ansys EmployeeHello,
You could model the entire geometry in spaceclaim or design modeler and then mesh it.

SubscriberHellov RK.
Spaceclaim seems to be handling the importation of .STL file better than design modeller

Ansys EmployeeOkay, proceed with Spaceclaim and then mesh the entire geometry.
