SubscriberI want to make the geometry of 8 Harness satin weave composite with each layer having a thickness of .5 mm with 0 and 90-degree orientation the overall thickness of the composite is 8 mm, how can I make it in Ansys?

Ansys EmployeeHello Aniket,
Do you have the material properties of the satin weave composite layer? If so, you can input the required data in engineering data and build the composite model in Mechanical or using Ansys Composite PrePost (ACP). Have a look at the following course:
https://courses.ansys.com/index.php/courses/layered-composites-introduction/
https://courses.ansys.com/index.php/courses/formula-sae-composite-monocoque-chassis-analysis/
If you have access to the Ansys Learning Hub, you will find composite courses here:
https://jam8.sapjam.com/groups/YHNivy2FbzTCwBmZhqlMGS/overview_page/hYb6n1GMya4mzkhwemNSVS
Note that there is a course on Material Design which could be used to create the satin weave 3D model and calculate the material properties.
Let me know how it goes.
Reno.
