SubscriberGood afternoon. How to use Constrained_extra_nodes in WORKBENCH LS-DYNA? Will it be a snippet? Tell me please.

Ansys EmployeeHello,
You can use LSDYNA Pre > Rigid Body Tools > Rigid Body Additional Nodes.

Ansys EmployeeHello,
The keyword *CONSTRAINED_EXTRA_NODES only works with a rigid body. This keyword is used to add nodes from a flexible body to a rigid body. This effectively connects the nodes from the flexible body to a rigid body. If you don't have a rigid body, this keyword will not work. Here is more information from the LS-DYNA user manual:
If you want to connect 2 flexible bodies together, you can use a bonded contact (tied contact), use spotwelds, have a node to node connection via the mesh, or use joints. There might be other ways that I don't think of riight now.
Let me know how it goes.
Reno.

Boost Ansys Fluent Simulations with AWS
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) helps engineers design products in which the flow of fluid components is a significant challenge. These different use cases often require large complex models to solve on a traditional workstation.
