SubscriberI have not had any luck with fluent meshing. Most recently I have this error, during the Surface meshing step:
Error: Zones selected for stitch are not in the same object.
Error Object: #f
I'll attach some figures below to help:
The tube geometry for my model
The set up for generating the surface mesh:
And here's the last bit of text from the consol (with my computer name blacked out)

This seems to be an issue with my initial geometry since I have tried various cell sizes from really large to very small. Using a point cloud data set of a tube, I created the tube surface. Gave it a thickness, shrinkwrap, and then created a skin. I used two planes at the openings to make a nice 'cut' to define the inlet and outlet. I then made a volume of the inside so I could define the fluid domain.
Then I keep getting held up at the meshing stage.
Does anyone see any obvious mistakes I am making? I'd upload the file but it seems most prefer images.
I's appreciate any insight on the error message.

Ansys EmployeeSo you have a faceted data structure imported in Fluent Meshing. Please make sure that it is watertight. If it has any leakages or if any nodes are not connected, it will give errors.
You can wrap it in Fluent Meshing. Please check fault tolerant workflow.

SubscriberI have been able to move past the generate surface mesh step, however when trying to define the enclosed regions, I am now receiving this error message:
Cannot merge zones of different types or belonging to different objects
Again here's some hopefully useful images:
and then the last bit of code printed in the console:
Error: state/object/execute-command:Exception encountered in S_ExecuteTask
Error Object: zone id: 15, name: pressure_out_face, type: wall, count: 919
zone id: 15, name: pressure_out_face, type: wall, count: 919

zone id: 15, name: pressure_out_face, type: wall, count: 919
zone id: 15, name: pressure_out_face, type: wall, count: 919
removed 919 faces.
175 boundary nodes.
0 faces removed.
Error: Cannot merge zones of different types or belonging to different objects.
I had named the inlet and outlet faces that I intended on using to cap, in Spaceclaim. Is there another way to do this? Or should I extract the volume in Spaceclaim directly, rather than capping at this step?

Ansys EmployeeIf you are interested in fluid only and if you are able to extract fluid in SpaceClaim, please do so. Then you can wrap fluid volume in Fluent Meshing.
Also make sure you use latest version.
