Subscribercan anyone help me how should i proceed i have a 3-d bar and temperature at its two end is maintained a at 100 degree Celsius while midpoint of the beam is maintained at 500 degree Celsius
the input temperature equation is as [-0.64*x^2+32x+100]
pls tell me which solver should i use and how to proceed
Thanks in advance

Ansys EmployeeIf you're maintaining the end and mid point temperatures what do you want to model?

Subscribersorry not to mention basically it is cooling problem at t=0 the both ends are at 100 and mid point is at 500 an i want to see its cooling nature at room temperature
as is graph mention above you can see how that curve is varying form t=0 t=Ôê×
i want to plot that graph
thanks in advance
Regards
Rohan

Ansys EmployeeOK, that makes more sense. We're not always seeing images at present which doesn't help.
If you want the free stream convection (air moving around the beam) then you'll need CFD and will have to patch the temperature of the beam using a Custom Field Function. If you're not worried about convection then Mechanical will do the job, but I have no idea how to set the initial condition.
