SubscriberHello,
When calculating the stator core loss using both Ansys embedded formulas and field calculator, I found that there is a significant difference between both (please see the attached figure). Any idea where this difference might come from.
Red waveform: using field calculator (integrate(statorvolume.CoreLoss))
Green waveform: Create Transient Report - Rectangular Plot - Loss - CoreLoss(Stator)

Ansys EmployeeHi @aabdelrahman88 When you are calculating the core loss using the field calculator you need to multiply it with the symmetry multiplier in the formula in the case of 3D and in the case of 2D you need to multiply with stack length also.
Please check that.

SubscriberThanks so much. Is it the same when calculating copper loss using field calculator Integrate(Volume(windings).OhmicLoss)? Should I multiply by stack length and symmetry multiplier too?
