This worked perfectly over summer when I first got the license but now it's giving me this error message and I don't know how to go about fixing it.

Hi,

Can you check your ANSYS License Management Center and check if it shows running like this:

If it shows not running, can you copy and Paste the license file first few lines where it shows the products and date before the INCREMENT lines?

Hi LastFreeMason,

If the licenses are hosted locally on your machine and if you are not sharing these licenses to anyone, you can try this workaround.

Make sure all ANSYS applications are closed.

Open up the ANSYS License Management Center > click Stop

Launch the Client ANSLIC_ADMIN Utility v1x.x with "run as administrator" > Specify the License Server Machine > Highlight the row in the box that you are specifying your hostname > Edit Server Machine Specification > in the Hostname 1 box , type localhost > OK 

Then, modify the content of the installed license file (in your case, it is C:Program FilesANSYS IncShared FilesLicensinglicense_filesansyslmd.lic), so that the SERVER line (the first line) in the file is using 127.0.0.1 instead of your machine hostname, something like this

SERVER 127.0.0.1 ######### 1055

From ANSYS License Management Center > click Start

Also, I just noticed but does the "evaluation expiring 24-Sep-2018" mean that my license already expired?
