“Could not connect to any license server”

See the attached picture. I recently had a month long trial for ANSYS Discovery Ultimate. The trial ran out so I purchased the full version and added the subscription to my account. I still get this error message when trying to open the program.

I went through the manual installation procedure and my ANSYS account reflected this by showing the device the subscription was associated with. The error still happens. I pinged the server through the command prompt as the troubleshooting guide said to do and got 0% loss.

Were you using a floating license at some point in the past?  It's uncommon for a trial to be set up as a floating license.  These are typically individual licenses assigned to a single user.

If you recently installed the software on this machine, is it possible you selected the "Floating" option when choosing the type of license?  This prompt usually appears near the end of the installation procedure.

There's also a note instructing people using other ANSYS products to set up the ANSYS license manager.  This should be ignored if you're using a subscription license.

Brian Bueno I believe I had a floating trial license. I have uninstalled everything, including the license manager and am reinstalling now

Make sure you've downloaded the software from this forum's Download page.  The software available through the ANSYS Customer Portal may be configured to look for a floating enterprise license by default.
