SubscriberI have a hollow pipe with air running through it. I am using prism layers generated in ICEM in the air zone to keep my y+ value low and I also need to model the conduction from the inside pipe wall to the outside wall. The problem I face is if I generate a mesh in the solid zone, the mesh sizing has to match the fluid zone which leads to 4 million extra elements. So, I created a hybrid mesh in ICEM and labeled the walls as interfaces for the solid part and the fluid part. Now, I am trying to run this in fluent and I create an interface with the appropriately named parts from the solid and the air mesh. For example, the interface on the pipe wall is matched with the interface from the fluid mesh-mapped and coupled. The problem I run into is the boundary condition. The inside wall adjacent to the fluid zone should have a coupled boundary condition since I want the heat transfer over the wall, but I don't have that option. I only have the option of the standard thermal conditions. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.
