Create a 3D existing delamination on the curve shape

      Hello everyone,

I am studying modal analysis of curve specimens between intact and delaminate ones. The material of these curve specimens is a composite material which is assumed for whole geometry (I don't consider each layer of composite material, then I don't use ACP)

*** My question is about creating a 3D existing delamination on the curve shape ***

I create the delamination on the curve specimen as in the photos below. The small rectangle is assumed to be the delamination area. The sides of this small rectangle are bonded with the big specimen, while the top surface of the rectangle does not contact the big one (means I don't set anything about this).

      My questions are:

      1. Do I model as this can represent to delamination behavior of the specimen?
      2. Now I use the bond contact as the photo above because I assume that these surfaces don't separate before. Is it correct for delamination?
