SubscriberI want to simulate heating of an object by several laser beams. Laser beams have Gaussian profile so to simulate heating I decided to apply heat flux with the table created by function editor. How can this tables be created by myself, w/o using of function editor?
Applied heat flux should be something like this

Ansys EmployeeI am not aware of a way to create the function on the fly. You will have to use the 'Function Editor' to create the Table. But once created you can save it to a file. The equations are tough to decipher but potentially can be edited in this file. But if you are looking for a way to do this on the fly I am not sure function editor is the way to do it. On the other hand you can create multiple tables and superimpose them by creating duplicated layers of surf152.
