SubscriberHi, I have a tunnel model with different gradients and different shape models, I want to make a contour to cut exactly the half (plan view) to look at the flow phenomenon. I have tried to create plan and it doesn't cover all the tunnel, i have tried several planes but it doesn't show in the same condition (some are high some are low due to different location, can i make cross-section across all the tunnel to divide it into half

Ansys EmployeeIf the tunnels are all the same height have a look at "Transform" to create the surface: transform the top or bottom face. Or have a look at the Imprint option.
I teach a Uni course once a year. When doing that, one of the reasons I always recommend sketching the model out on paper before starting & writing on all boundary conditions etc is that you also figure out any post processing you know you need later. It's easier to build interior surfaces into the CAD model for later use in the solver.

Subscriberunfortunately the model is not on the same height and thats whats makes it difficult, it included several variety bending

Ansys EmployeeSo, channel heights are all different? Do you have a separate label for the floor for each section? Otherwise, look at Imprint.

Subscriberunfortunately no, i just have the label for a wall (included the floor and the roof)

Boost Ansys Fluent Simulations with AWS
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) helps engineers design products in which the flow of fluid components is a significant challenge. These different use cases often require large complex models to solve on a traditional workstation.
