SubscriberHello,
I am working with the complicated model in Ansys Discovey AIM 2019R1. I cut the model to a quarter but still, I have problem on meshing because it has too many fine parts. now mesh is done but I got a message that many faces have no mesh due to mesh based defeaturing and I have to set it off. but by turning off the mesh wasn't succeeded at all.
I was wondering if it is possible to cut the model into smaller pieces for meshing and at the end combine them to get the result?
any suggestion is greatly appreciated.
many thanks,
Farnaz

I don't believe it's possible to put multiple meshes together in AIM, but I will ask and let you know.

It does not seem like there is an easy way to achieve this.
The best suggestion was to try slicing and sharing topology for the pieces in order to have more control over sizing/element shapes. They would all have to be meshed simultaneously though.

SubscriberBrian Bueno thanks a lot for your reply. could you please explain more about slicing and sharing topology?

Here is a small video that demonstrates the slicing and sharing Brian mentioned.
