Cutting parameters and residual stresses

      Hello, I'm a student working on my thesis and I'm stuck trying to figure a solution. I have always worked with static structural and I'm having troubles with Explicit Dynamics.

      I can't figure out how to use a specific cutting speed and feedrate for the countersink bit and with the boundary condition I used I can't even make it spin. The velocity is placed in a cilindrical coordinate system on the bit, Displacement 2 is just Z=0.

      Angular Velocity under Initial Conditions can be used to define the initial rotational motion. Velocity Boundary Condition and scope it to body (not face) can be used to rotate the body. nAdd a final Load Step with a proper value of Static Damping ratio (see ANSYS Help for how to calculate the ratio) to damp out all dynamic motions to obtain the residual stress.nn
