SubscriberI have a doubt about the results while calculating self inductance and mutual inductance of a dry type air core reactor in short circuit.
The path report type is "Creat Transiet Report" -> "Data Table" . The table has nine columns related to three self inductance (L11, L22, L33) and six mutual indutance (L12, L13,L21,L31, L23,L32).
If I click "Anallyze All" for one short-circuit a couple of times, the same results are presented but every simulation some results are located in diferrent columns that is not related to it. As I need to put all the inductance in a matrix on Matlab, I'm having some trouble about ordenating these results.I'd like to understand Why Maxwell change the results every simulation (not the value, but the column position) and If there is anything I could make to get the results in the right position.
Follow bellow an example for a same short-circuit simulated two times with same results but located in different columns.
Thanks in advance,
Fernanda

Ansys EmployeeHello Fernanda,
Could you right click plot name and "update report" or create a new data table? and see if you could reolve the issue. Thanks.

SubscriberHello HDLI,
I've already tried to "update report" and create a new data table, but does not solve the issue. I wonder if there is residual magnetism, but the values are consistent, just allocated in incorrect columns of the Data Table.
Thanks for your reply,
Fernanda

SubscriberHDLI,
I forgot to mention that the column values change in the data table when I simulate the same scenario five or more times. But it is unpredictable when the values will be correctly allocated.

Fernanda

Ansys EmployeeHello Fernanda,
Thank you for the information. Are they same with 1st and 2nd running? after updating results or create new data table.
Could you try to create "new data table" twice? Do you get the same results in both?
Addtionally, could you run it again and create new data table and repeat it twice? and see if you get the same or different results. I am wondering the result plot may have an accident in 1st or 2nd running. Thanks.

SubscriberThe results are the same for the 1st and 2nd running. For they change I need to run 5 or more times (that is not working anymore) or, what usually works is to change the scenario, for example: a variable value (length or a coil conductors number), run it, go back for the scenario I want and run it again. But as I am runnig scripts for mutiple simulations I did not try to add this modification in my automation scripts.
As you recommended I tried to create "new data table" more than twice and it did not work.
Also tried to run it again and create new data table. The results are the same.

SubscriberDear HDLI,
I've already tried even deleting the mesh and creating a new one each simulation. It works for most of the scenarios but at the end, always some results are in changed collumns.

Ansys EmployeeHello Fernanda,
Thanks. Could you "clean up solution" after completing each simulaiton?

SubscriberHello HDLI,
thanks for the reply and for the possible solution. The "clean up solution" worked for 25 out of 30 simulations (scenarios) but for the others did not work.

Ansys EmployeeHello Fernanda,
Could you contact account manager to ask if you can get the help from application or support team, to share the model to them? or log in customer support space submit a case as commerial customers?
In forum, I could not download or share any models with you. Thanks.

SubscriberHello HDLI,
thanks a lot for your reply and solutions. I have a free student acount and no account manager. I've already tried many of theses options and it didn't work, so I'm going to sort this data through a routine in MATLAB. It's something I was alredy working on.
Best regards,
Fernanda.
