SubscriberHi all,
I am trying to use DEFINE_SOURCE macro to define a enthalpy source in porous zone. I know for enthalpy source terms caused by chemical reactions, fluent will multiply this source term by porosity. I am wondering if I have a user defiend enthalpy source term say Hg. Will fluent multiply this term Hg with porosity? If I want fluent use Hg in energy equation, should I return Hg/porosity in DEFINE_SOURCE macro so that the final utilized source term is Hg?
Best regards

Ansys EmployeeYou need to take care about that and do the multiplication on your own.

SubscriberHi,Amine,
Do you mean I should multiply Hg with 1/porosity in DEFINE_SOURCE macro?

Ansys EmployeeIF you want to a define a source applied in a volume and that volume is a porous volume you should multiply the source term with porosity.
