SubscriberI want to make several roughness patterns to simulate roughness on a ship hull without using roughness height in fluent so that means that i need to add that roughness during the design stage of the model so how can i do that in space claim ?
How can i make a specific roughness pattern and height in design stage without using roughness height and constant in the setup stage found in fluent
And if i use keyshot how can i export a model with the same textures and roughness to spaceclaim because they do not appear and also when i try to export them they appear as facets in space claim

Ansys EmployeeHi,
Roughness will introduce friction. Instead of modeling roughness you can define friction between parts using a frictional contact in Mechanical.

SubscriberCould you tell me how to model roughness with different patterns of roughness on the ship hull ?
How can i make that pattern protrude (give it a 3d look) in space claim after importing the pattern on the model there are options like textutre offset and scale can you explain to me how to make that pattern for example if it is a bump how to give that bump a height using these options
