I do have a pretty complex geometry with me to be solved in AIM, and after 2 days of changing values, tuning things, I always have some parts that stay without a valid mesh.
Do I have a way to mesh parts in order (like in ANSYS Mesher) or generate mesh just for specific parts? If no, can I attach a mesh somehow into my .wbpj files from Workbench?

I'm always getting "Mesh requires attention. 1. Patch-conforming tetrahedron mesh failed possibly because of bad boundary mesh." error message, no matter, what I do.
Strange part is that the mesh visually showing complete (black), no red or orange parts are showing at all, so I can't even figure out which part is troubling.
Any recommendations?

Currently, it is neither possible to mesh parts in order nor import a mesh in Discovery AIM.
You can right-click on the error message and select "Select location" option which will highlight the problematic parts in the model. For better visualization of these problematic parts, once they are highlighted, switch to Geometry task without clicking in the graphics. You can then review the highlighted geometry and take appropriate action (repair, cleanup, add mesh controls, etc.)
If the above options don't work out and the mesh is still failing, I will have to look at the model. You can share the AIM project here or I can send a link for uploading.

I have already tried the "select location" option, but nothing is displayed, even if I hide everything else.
So it's probably something with the model, hidden face or body. 3rd party stuff...
I'll double check the model, if it's not resolving the issue, I'll push you with a project.

Discovery Community forum is the preferred platform for submitting questions related to Discovery forum.
2D fluid simulation is not supported and I don't think it is planned in future but I will let you know incase there is any.

Hello again. Sorry, I won't want to open a new topic for every single question :)
Is that possible to somehow achieve hexa-dominant (like ANSYS Mesher) mesh in AIM? The Hexa element shape setting is only possible unfortunately when the whole body can be hexa-meshed.

With "Automatic" shape option in Element Shape, the mesher attempts to mesh sweepable bodies with hexahedrons and provides a tetrahedral mesh on bodies that are not sweepable or if the quality of the hexahedral mesh is poor. So, This options generates a combination of hex and tet mesh. This is what you are looking for?

Dear Naresh, Sorry for the late response.
Automatic shape option is unfortunately not able to process hex mesh on most of the bodies that has any curvature, due to the fact that it's trying to sweep the whole body.
The option I'm looking for the exactly what ANSYS Mesher does in Workbench.
When you have a tetra mesh, you can add a "Hexa Dominant" method which converts the "convertable" tetra mesh to hexa in order to reduce elements.

Looking back to this questions, is there any update on a way to make meshing order / partial mesh (hex first tet later, etc...) in AIM? This automatic meshing makes it impossible to connect hex and tet meshes for real.

There isn't any update on having a meshing order in AIM.
Ideally, the hex elements bodies should get meshed first followed tet element bodies. If this is not happening, then I think the bodies need to be reviewed to ensure that they meet the topology requirements for generating hex mesh.
