SubscriberHello,
we are testing Discovery Live 19.2 at the moment.
Problem is, that the software always crashes.
The software is running on a HP zbook 17 (i7-4700MQ, 8GB, Quadro K3100M).
I attached a simple construction, that I have tried. Sometimes it is working, but the simulation / the software crashes, if I let it simulate more detailed.
The display is getting black for one second and the graphics driver and Discovery crashes. Please see attached screenshots.
Any suggestions how we can fix this error?
Thanks

Ansys EmployeeHello Mario Haubst
Can you try updating the graphics drivers directly from the Nvidia website?

SubscriberI already updated the Nvidia driver to version 411.95. It is the up to date ODE driver from Nvidia for this graphics card and Windows 7.

Ansys EmployeeHello Mario Haubst
Thanks for confirming that the drivers are up-to-date. Can you please let me know the following:
1. After launching Discovery Live, press F9 key which will generate a performance report. In this report, is the "Adapter" option showing Nvidia Quadro K3100M?
2. Are you able to run any of the sample models that are available on the start page, or do you see the same crashing with the sample models too?
3. Can you send the latest log files located in ~AppDataRoamingSpaceClaimLog Files for further investigation of this issue?

SubscriberHello,
performance report is not working. Nothing happens after launching Discovery Live and then pressing F9 key. Tried to close samples window and then pressing F9 key too. Same result.
The constructor told me, that the samples are working.
Please find attached the log files from today.

Ansys EmployeeHello Mario Haubst
The development team needs the setup which is repeatedly crashing. I checked the "konstruktion1.scdoc" file that you had sent earlier but it does not have any physics setup. Can you send a model with simulation setup which is crashing at your end?

The development team is still working on the problem. Meanwhile can you check if you have access to another graphics card to use Discovery Live?

Ansys EmployeeHello Mario Haubst
I am following up with the development team regarding this problem and will let you know as soon as I hear from them.
Meanwhile, did you install the latest released version i.e R2019R1? If not, can you do so by downloading it from this link and let me know if you still encounter the same issue? Also, can you check if there is any nvcuda.dll file in Discovery installation folder and delete? Let me know if this helps.
