SubscriberOur customer has a display problem about launching Discovery via remote desktop environment. They installed Discovery R2.5 in Windows Server 2019. The Discovery works fine on the Windows. But, Discovery does not show a model or sketch grid when they launch Discovery via remote desktop. Their launched Discovery is like attached image file. Discovery Live works fine on the both of Windows and via Remote Desktop. The remote desktop means “Windows Remote Desktop (Windows RDP)” which is supported by Ansys. For fixing this issue, what information do you need? Would you let me know? WDDM causes this issue? In my environment, "GPU 3: Microsoft Remote Display Adapter" is listed instead of following "ASPEED Graphics Family(WDDM)". The following is from log file, They say that display driver of ASPEED is latest. GPU 1: NVIDIA Quadro RTX 5000 Device id: PCIVEN_10DE&DEV_1EB0&SUBSYS_129F10DE&REV_A14&F3C3B64&0&0000 Driver version: 27.21.14.5206 Driver date: 2020-August GPU 2: ASPEED Graphics Family(WDDM) Device id: PCIVEN_1A03&DEV_2000&SUBSYS_096D15D9&REV_415&399B8CA5&0&0000E9 Driver version: 9.0.10.106 Driver date: 2017-November Renderer: OpenGL (GPU 1) Antialiasing: 0 Program Version: 2020.2.40960.9217 License: ANSYS-1050481 BuildNumber: SpaceClaim-202_20200804.1 Thanks in advance, Ichiro

SubscriberHello Ichiro , I will have to check whether ASPEED Graphics Family(WDDM) supports Discovery, please go through the list of supported Remote Display & Virtual Desktop options. Can you please check if you are able to open Discovery LIVE and see if you are facing a similar issue there? The next thing you can check is, go to settings>General>Default stage for new documents and change it to model, and see if it loads geometry.Regards.
