SubscriberHi,
I have two questions concerning the newest release of Discovery Live:
- In this presentation slides 5-6 state "Extensible & scriptable application framework". Does this apply to the boundary conditions and output charts as well? In other words, is it possible to set the boundary conditions while the simulation is running, based on model results automatically?
- Is the memory management error resolved?
Thanks,
Bálint

The Whats New presentation had some slides from development and planning stage. The presentation with the release data is now updated and is at the same link. Thank you for bringing it to our notice and apologies for the misunderstanding and inconvenience.
Regarding memory management, the development team is still working in this direction. And with the launch of new Discovery product, all these development will be happening in future releases of this new product.

SubscriberNaresh Patre Thanks for your answer.
Do you have any info, whether Live is going to be available as a separate software in future releases? I'm mostly interested if I have to familiarize myself with the new environment, or I'll be able to can use it like so far?

Ansys EmployeeHello Bálint Papp
Version 2020 R2 is the last release of Discovery Live and there won't be any further release. All the development will be happening in the new Discovery application. I would recommend getting familiar with the new tool since that will be the single application going ahead.

The Turbulence model that you see under "Specify calculation type" are applicable only in Analyze mode and not in Explore mode. The Explore mode still uses LES turbulence model. In fact the turbulence model option for Analyze mode is not exposed in the UI. All the options under "Simulation Options are only applicable for Analyze mode.

Ansys EmployeeBálint Papp Although there is no fixed timeline, I hope there will be improvements in the feature capturing and (eventually better memory management) in the releases scheduled for next year.
