SubscriberHello All,
My team is having issues when trying to show Discovery Live in online sessions(ie. GoToMeeting, Zoom, etc.). The problem is that as soon as the online session starts, discovery live turns to black screen. Anyone know how to fix this?

Ansys EmployeeHello Stephen
We haven't come across this issue before. Can you try updating the graphics card drivers?

SubscriberNaresh Patre Hello Naresh.
As a matter of fact, the driver has already been updated. I guess I wasn't been clear, the problem occurs when the 'share screen' starts, which is exactly what Alex described in his response. What other possible scenario can you think of besides driver update?

SubscriberWe have had problems with running DL and GoToMeeting also. Seemed to only occur when sharing screens on GoToMeeting so we ended up using Google hangout for the screen share and GoToMeeting for the audio which worked fine in the end.

Ansys EmployeeHello Stephen Alex We got below solution working in a few cases. It has to do with a GPU timeout you can change in the registry. Can you please try it out and let us know? 1. Close Discovery Live application 2. Go to registry editor (type "regedit” in Windows Search). 3. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SYSTEM -> CurrentControlSet -> Control -> GraphicsDrivevers. (make sure GraphicsDrivers is selected). 4. Right-click -> New -> DWORD (32-bit) value as shown below5. Name it as "TdrDelay" and double click to open it. Select Hexadecimal option and set its value as 5 as shown below.
6. After performing the above steps, restart your computer.

Ansys EmployeeHello Alex Stephen
I will check with the team and let you know. Meanwhile, can you try setting a higher value (like 10) for the newly created registry key and see if it helps? Also, can you let me know the Windows version and graphics card details?

SubscriberHi,
the solution was very helpful for me.
The most customers has no accsess to the the regedit -> will this "Problem" be fixed in one of the next versions?

Ansys EmployeeChristian Jensch If customers don't have access to regedit, they can work with their IT team to make changes to register key as described in above posts. Since this has worked for some users, I don't think the problem might be with Discovery Live, but rather with the settings associated with tools used for online sessions.
You can also try using other tools like Google Hangout, Zoom as suggested by users in this discussion.
