Discovery LIve/Spaceclaim collide with WIN10 and NVIDIA P4000 GPU driver and freeze my remote desktop

      Hi

      Our company official WIN10 GPU driver is not supported by Discovery live 2020R1 therefore we had to update it to 442,92 one, Now I am able to open discovery live but it always freeze my remote desktop/display application (built in WIN10) and I CANNOT WORK ANYMORE REMOTELY ON MY DESKTOP WHICH SITS IN MY OFFICE. I must work from home because of the corona so there is no way to get closer to my desktop. My laptop is not suitable for any kind of analysis. We have tried to update win10 but nothing worked so far it ends up hang up if I try to zoom, rotate or pan.

      PLEASE HELP which driver and which settings need to use. I do not want to believe that I am alone with such an issue.

      Please do not tell me I need to ask microsoft it is a clear issue with Ansys Product. Other app works fine, PPT, Acrobat, excel etc...Creo too!

      Hello SandorToaso

      I checked the latest driver version available for Quadro P4000 on Nvidia website and it is showing as R450 U1 (451.48). Can you update the driver to this latest version and try Discovery Live again?

      If updating the drivers doesn't help, please share the Windows 10 version of your remote machine. Follow the below steps to locate the windows version:

      1. Select the Windows Start button > Settings > System > About . Open About settings.
      2. Under Device specifications > System type
      3. Under Windows specifications, check which edition and version of Windows your device is running.

        Naresh Patre Hi we were just rolling back from that latest version because we have same issue. So that latest update does not help at all. Please find below the specification of my HW and Win10 release. It is the latest corporate release. I do not have any admin right on this company desktop so I need to ask IT team to do things on behalf of me. Please help.

        SandorToaso I have checked 3D rendering option is frozen in Discovery live so it is not possible to swithc. It is OPENGL.

      SandorToaso can you ensure that the Nvidia device is set for rendering on the remote machine? Please check this post for some information on how to do this.

        Matt Madore thanks I need to follow it up with my local IT team I do not have admin right to do this. It might take up to 4 -6 weeks to come back due to summer vacation time.

        I will come back to you as soon as I have tested it. Hopefully around end of august 2020.
