Hello Team,

 

I have a question regarding Discovery Live subscription:

A customer had Discovery Live subscribed to a user before. Now that users has left the company, and they want to assign the subscription to another user.

There might be a scenario where they can't retrieve the old user's login credential. 

Thus, when they receive the activation file (image attached), can someone else claim this activation, using his Discovery account?

Hello Stephen

All subscriptions are managed by the administrator who receives the email with activation file that you mentioned. The administrator can log in to his Discovery account and assign the subscription to another user from Administration tab. For detailed information about subscription assignment, please check out a video from this post.

If the user who left the company was an administrator himself and did not add a new administrator in the account, I will have to check with the licensing team on how to handle this situation. If this is the case, can you please send the order ID and customer ID (from the activation file that you mentioned) to ansys-discovery-support@ansys.com?
